Vehicles equipped with Toyota/Lexus U660E/F or U760E/F transmissions may exhibit problems related to the B2 brake clutch. These include a delayed or harsh reverse engagement or a double bump when the B3 brake clutch applies before the B2 brake clutch.
These concerns can be traced to a worn and/or sticking B2 control valve and plug valve. Sonnax offers oversized B2 control valve kit 47740-35K, which renews valve function to restore normal Reverse operation.

CAUSE
Bore wear at the B2 control valve allows B2 clutch control pressure loss, resulting in reverse engagement issues. When this wear becomes severe enough, the plug valve can stick, causing loss of Reverse.
CORRECTION
Recover hydraulic control and renew reverse performance by reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized B2 control valve kit.
