The ring gears are even pre-drilled for the Sonnax stabilizer system to prevent vibration and broken reverse friction plates. Extreme gear sets feature Sonnax premium sun and pinion gears that also undergo the same advanced processing used in Formula 1^™, NASCAR^® and other high-end professional racing circuits.

1.65 ratio Extreme planetary assembly kit 28165G-NS is based off the innovative Sonnax 1.58 ratio architecture fitted with 1.80 style 12DP gears. This is the lowest numerical ratio 12DP gear set for the Powerglide that does not rely on troublesome stepped or timed pinion gears. This kit is compatible with all Sonnax extreme duty input shafts, although its primarily for use when building a big input shaft system.
