THIS KIT FITS VARIOUS HONDA 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION MODELS. HOWEVER, MODEL TO MODEL, THE APPERANCE OF VALE BODIES AND THE LOCATION OF THE LOCK UP SHIFT VALVE BORE MAY VARY. THE BVGA 0307, 3.5L PILOT MODEL IS ILLUSTRATED HERE.

Early OE Honda/Acura 5-speed lockup shift valves can exhaust lube oil through the valve when in lockup, resulting in lube related issues. This Sonnax drop-in, updated lockup shift valve kit 98892-16K eliminates the exhaust circuit for lube oil at the lockup shift valve location (see illustration).

SYMPTOMS
- Overheated converter fluid
- Lube failures
- Overheating & reduced lube feed
CAUSE
Based on early-style OE design, the valve can result in excess exhaust for lube oil. Late-style OE valve fixes this problem but is not available.
CORRECTION
Prevent loss of lube and restore normal operation by installing Sonnax drop-in lockup shift valve kit.
