When shift codes and shift complaints such as harsh shifts are found in listed Toyota/Lexus units, the accumulator control valve is frequently the culprit. If the wear is restricted to the accumulator control plunger valve and sleeve, installing Sonnax accumulator control plunger valve kit 147741-43K will eliminate cross-leaks and uncontrolled pressure loss.

CAUSE
Wear at the valve/sleeve bore allows critical control pressures to cross-leak between valve body circuits or escape to the sump. Accumulator control pressure may be high or low depending on wear location.
CORRECTION
Sonnax drop-in accumulator control plunger valve kit ends cross-leaks caused by wear and contains hydraulic pressure in the intended circuits. Pressure loss to the sump caused by worn components is eliminated.
