The front bushing in the Chrysler 68RFE overdrive clutch hub serves not only as a key support, but the oil grooves are an important path for OD clutch lubrication oil. OE bushings have lube supply grooves that vary in depth and lube oil volume. Other aftermarket bushing grooves restrict OD clutch lube to far lower levels than the OE bushings. Sonnax overdrive clutch hub/shaft front bushing 72030-05 features grooves with a 10% greater flow area than OE, providing optimum levels of lubrication and OD clutch cooling to this critical area of the transmission.
