Made in the USA by Alto Products Corp
The GM 4T65E 2nd, 3rd, and forward clutch packs have no provision for clutch pack clearance adjustment. Remember to make sure there is sufficient clearance; allow .010” per friction element. If not adjusted the excessive clearance may contribute to the unit setting a maximum long term shift adapt code P1811.

Directions
2nd Clutch
The normal steel plate is .068” thick, with five steels (062733) and six .070” frictions (062722) being used. By using the 062733-228 that is .090” thick in combination with OE thickness steel plates, the clutch pack can be adjusted.
Forward Clutch
The 041251-082 snap ring will adjust the clearance to your satisfaction.
3rd Clutch
Normal stack-up contains five internal splined (062724) and five external splined (062725) 1-sided plates .079” thick. By using five of the 062715 .083” thick external spline plates, .040” clearance can be gained.

Nice kit of clearance upgrades
I used this kit to reduce the 3rd clutch clearance on my 2002 Volvo 4T65EV transmission from 0.070" to 0.045", which was a better alternative to shimming with a shaved used external friction. Each of the five frictions will only gain you 0.004", so I don't know how the claim of 0.040" clearance gain is calculated. I already had two thicker 2nd clutch steels, so didn't need the ones in this kit, but they would have been useful if I didn't have them already. The input retainer ring, although thicker, is also narrower than the stock ring and doesn't hold in place in the input housing as firmly, so I stayed with the stock ring.
