Many OE supports in Chrysler 46RH/RE, 47RH/RE and 48RE units do not seal well against the case, leading to reduced lube flow to the gear train and consumption of pump volume. Sonnax oversized piston retainer kit 22754N-02K salvages damaged reverse drums and maximizes gear train durability by preventing the loss of lube oil between support and case.
- Oversized diameter is ideal for damaged drums; installation requires turning the I.D. of the drum using a lathe

SYMPTOMS

CAUSE
Excessive clearance between the overdrive piston retainer and intermediate shaft reduces lube flow to the gear train.
