Accepting a 1/2'' drive and weighing in at just over 25oz, Adapt-A-Case's socket is more then just another pretty face. The inner cavity is cut only slightly larger than the output shaft to eliminate any possibility of side-loading the ears. This will shorten its service life, eventually slipping and rounding the uncommon spanner nut.
