High and/or low pressure in the solenoid modulator circuits of listed VW/Audi, Mini and Aisin AW units can cause DTCs and drivability complaints. Wear at the inboard end causes excessive feed pressure. This floods the solenoids and reduces reaction time, resulting in harsh shifting and high line pressure. Wear at outboard and mid-section reduces solenoid modulator pressure, which has the most effect on engagements and boost oil for line pressure rise. Sonnax solenoid modulator valve kit 15741-18K corrects circuit pressure loss and restores control over solenoid modulator valve function.
