Problems caused by UV reduction pressure leakage in Audi 01J and 01T transmissions are common. As leakage increases, reaction time drops and pressure decreases at pulley #1 or pulley #2. Without proper control pressure and reaction timing, load on the chain decreases and slippage will occur. In other instances, the UV reduction damper pin may break causing further damage to the bore and end plug. Sonnax oversized UV reduction valve kit 33741B-08K restores the critical hydraulic clearance between the valve and bore and prevents future wear with highly wear-resistant materials and annular grooves.
